November 1, 2010 I really don't know why I even have a journal. I'm so bad at writing things down...Anyways, just wanted to let you know that I'm still alive. It's been a busy year. Kiddos are 2 & 4 now, and I'm doing more Mom things than music, but that's slowly changing. I'm planning a new album in 2011. That's my goal. I've been doing a bit of traveling this summer and in August, went to Toronto with Bobby and did a great gig at the Festival of Lights in Peterborough, and hooked up with some friends: I also went to Halifax in September, and it was a wonderful trip and a beautiful city: One of my newest hobbies is photography. I got my first SLR camera, and now I'm a picture-taking fool! Perhaps I'll post some of my photos here in place of silly Journal or News entries...Hmmmm...
January 2010: I found this video that was recorded by a friend, Nick Springate. I thought you might like to see it. Enjoy!
April '09 It's been a slow and easy month. We spent a wonderful time in Mexico at the beginning of April and now I'm trying to focus on doing a bit of writing. Bobby Bruce (aka Nearly Neil) is recording a new live CD as well as a video at the end of this month, and I'm looking forward to being apart of that.
GO CANUCKS GO!!! Yes, I have jumped back onto the Canucks bandwagon. I heart the playoffs! Looks like it might just be our year! Do I dare dream?.... SandraV
March '09 My first journal entry in a few years. Yikes! It's amazing how fast 3 years can go by.
I've been busy doing non-music things. Yes, I've been making babies. Two of them to be exact.
I'm having the best time of my life, but this is hard work! I have 2 little girls. Jordana 2.5 and Adriana 9.5 months.
They're gorgeous. They keep me busy. They keep me smiling.
I've been doing music still. Just not my own thing. As a matter of fact, we took Jordana to Poland with us in 2007 for 7 weeks.
It was an amazing adventure. She's actually been on the road with me several times. Quite the little traveler!
Now that there's two, I stay closer to home...
I'm getting back on the music train. Ahhhh...it feels good. I really needed the break and the change of direction.
It's so nice to think of something else besides yourself (and this crazy business), ya know?
Anyways, back to the music, well, I'm doing some great gigs and thinking about writing.
Maybe doing some recording (it's a great perk to be married to a producer). I don't think I'll be pursuing a record contract or anything that ambitious...
Just throw some songs out there and see what comes out of it.
I did some fun gigs with the 5 piece band recently. It was great fun. Must see if I can get some pics. SandraV
